Level 3 Classroom Teacher Association Members provide extensive support for aspirant Level 3 Classroom Teachers in several ways, as well as supporting preservice and graduate teachers in schools. Level 3 Classroom Teachers use the L3CT Competency Framework and the AITSL Standards to self-reflect and to assist others to reflect and seek professional growth.
The Association strongly recommends that aspirant L3CTs avail themselves of multiple sources of support, including excellent courses run by the Leadership Institute and the SSTUWA. In addition, small group or individual mentorship can be very helpful to aspirants. You can also look out for information sessions at school network meetings and other events, where Association members may be presenting. Please also feel free to visit our Blog and post queries there, or visit our Facebook Group.
Members of the Association support the Department in running the L3CT program through acting as assessors and reviewers and take confidentiality and fairness very seriously. For this reason, some L3CTA members are unable to mentor individuals, so as to avoid conflicts of interest, but can still provide general support, information and encouragement.
To access information on the application process please visit the Department’s Ikon site. For more information email the L3CT Program Manager who runs the application process at l3ct@education.wa.edu.au.
We wish all aspirant colleagues the very best with their reflection and applications during 2024.
